We live in a world where we are reliant upon information to get work done and to go about our day-to-day activities. At the same time, due to the ubiquitous nature of information technology (IT) tools such as smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices, we find ourselves inundated with data, information, and knowledge. How do we focus on the information that is important to our work/personal lives and overlook that which is unnecessary for our needs at a given point in time?

We must develop techniques and garner know-how that will help us constantly and consistently create, acquire, store, and disseminate information in a timely fashion. To this end, a degree in information technology is paramount in helping us become good creators and users of information.
The field of IT is constantly evolving. It seeks bright and curious minds to think outside of the box so that we are always pushing the envelope with innovative solutions to the challenge of getting the right information at the right time and in the right format.
